PRESS RELEASE
Title: MAUL Announces Title, Titleholder to Compete at MAL 2010.
The Mid-Atlantic Uniform League (MAUL) is pleased to announce the creation of the title of Mr. Mid-Atlantic Uniform League and the selection of one of its members, Officer Don Warga of Maywood, New Jersey to hold the title for its initial year and to represent the club and the title by competing at Mid-Atlantic Leather Weekend (MAL) in January, 2010.
Don and his partner Grant joined MAUL shortly after its creation in 2007. As Mr. MAUL 2009, Don will be attending a number of club and leather community events throughout the summer and fall leading up to the MAL competition.
Creating and sponsoring a title marks a big step forward for MAUL, which is not yet three years old as a club. Due to the nature of MAUL as a regional organization without a home bar, the MAUL Executive Board led by Chief Mike Warmington has decided at least initially to appoint the title rather than organize a contest. Chief Warmington says "We see this as a great opportunity not only to promote our club, but to contribute to the Mid-Atlantic leather community which has supported us, and to increase the visibility of the uniform fetish at leather events." As the club continues to grow, it is hoped that this will become an annual tradition. In the meantime, the officers of MAUL wish Don the best of luck representing the club.
